The Woo Woo Was Wrong

I got roped into taking a break.

I happen to have quite a few people who operate in the whole woo woo space.

From law of attraction to full blown astrology and everything in between, and while I don’t have anything against them. They’re absolutely amazing humans and offer a service/product that people request all the time.

I got roped into taking a break for the sake of my “energy”

Friday to Sunday was my “off” days. No contact. No messages. No emails. While having this break felt great for the first couple weeks of doing it.

I found myself sitting on my hands and slowly going insane. I had all of these ideas bubbling inside of my head but because I was so strict about it, I wouldn’t even write them down. I thought if I’m off. I’m off. That’s it.

Oh boy was that the wrong play…

See, when I decided to take those days off. I was opening myself up to a world of bot spam and the bullshit from some of the “haters” (It’s still funny to me that people on the internet will do whatever they can to stop you from growing your business if you don’t follow their world view…) because I stopped checking in on the things that kept me on the straight and narrow…

Every weekend for the last few weeks. I had some clown from the “Trading Twitter” side of the internet bombard my opt-in lists with fake bullshit to try and get me kicked off my email platform and if you click this obnoxiously long link you’ll see what I mean…

Long story long. Companies don’t like it when people send fake traffic to pages that are out of your control and if things slip through they can royally screw you over with fees and what not.

However, luckily I work with some awesome humans and they see this type of tactic all the time.

Cancel culture doesn’t work around this neck of the woods.

When you’ve got a platform built by marketers for marketers, you can kind of walk on water in relation to all of the school yard bullshit.

That’s why I’m happy that I’ve gotten off of the majority of social media platforms. There’s just way too much wrong think and if you don’t think the same way they do. Well, they’re pretty quick to kick you to the curb and move long, or at the worst. Create some insane smear campaign to make you look like a villain.

And like my boy Ben Settle says: “If they cast you as the villain, well, you might as well play the part…”

But the point of this email is to say that I’m going to be back on my daily email ways.

Taking a break just wasn’t good because I was letting things slip through that wouldn’t have done if I caught it in the early stages.

Don’t get me wrong. Having 4 days off to essentially just fart around and do nothing sounds absolutely magical but when you’re solo and doing your thing. You’re better off keeping going, cause if you don’t. There are malicious souls out there that don’t want to see you win.

And I want to see you win.

I also found that having those days off away from what I was doing, really put me behind in terms of what I was learning, reading and studying to implement.

So no more. I’m better off being productive. Doing the work and sharing it with you all.

As much as I appreciate the “I hope you’re okay” or “You better not have died!” emails, which I found amazing AND entertaining…

Giving you the daily insight into my wild world seems to keep you on the straight and narrow too.

From riling you up or getting you to do the work you’ve been slacking on. These emails are for you and the fact that you’re still sticking around to listen to and read my shenanigans means a lot.

So to my woo woo enjoyers. I love you all, but taking a break for my “energy” just doesn’t seem to cut it.

I’ll catch you tomorrow.

Stephen Walker.

P.S. If you haven’t joined The Escape Hatch yet. You’re gonna miss out on what I believe is the most important field note I’ll be dropping in there soon, which I’ve spent ages re-writing. It’s an a-z guide on getting your mind right so you can win, no matter the situation you’re in.

P.P.S. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, STOP ASKING IF I’M GOING TO SELL A COURSE OR SOME SHIT. I’M NOT ABOUT THAT COURSE LIFE.
