I was called a communist today.

Which has probably made my year to be honest.

Long story short.

Some dude commented on a friend of mines post from 3-4 years ago.

Called him all types of things without any evidence or real world proof, which seems to be the common thing to do nowadays if you don’t like someone…

I called this dude out and basically told him to stop talking out of his own ass, especially if there’s no verifiable proof.

He replies. I reply back and boom. I get called a commie for pointing out his own stupidity.

Now don’t get me wrong. I like to be a bit of troll sometimes. Mainly because I like to test human nature. (yes yes I’m sick in the head probably)

I don’t do anything with malicious intent though. It’s more harmless shitposting in truth.

But if you come at one of my people without hard worn evidence or facts. Well… I’ll defend them to the best of my ability.

We all know the world is a pretty shitty place at the moment and if someone has your back, no matter what is going on. It just feels that little bit more manageable.

There is a point to all of this though…

And it bleeds into how you should either build your own business. Help others build their thing or at least make people aware of it for future reference and use…

It is discovering with any means necessary. The ability to create loyal customers and/or clients over the long term.

If you’re selling a product or a service or anything creative. You need to figure out how you incorporate the Us Vs Them dynamic in the messaging. The reason for that is. Like in my example. I went out to defend a friend/client and you want to have your people the same thing for you.

We’re humans. We thrive on connection and relationships and all the things that make us human. Yeah we might have different needs or wants and buy different things in comparison to one another. But we all want to belong.

If that means defending and supporting people like us. Well that’s what you need to fight for.

If that means I get to be called a communist for sticking up for a friend. Well I’ll happily be the biggest communist out there.

Rallying around a common identity or enemy is a good thing. It’s what builds trust and loyalty. Especially in a world now where everyone just wants to do things solo.

We need it more than ever.

So I’ll wear my communist title with pride fully knowing that that dude who called me it, has no really clue about what communism is.

If you really want to see what communism truly stood for? Grab this.

Now it’s time for a hike. So I’ll catch you later.
