Which is not to say we aren’t allowed to have bad days.
A lot of the times I might get a question on how I come up with ideas or generally always have something to talk about.
And the thing is. If you’ve ever met me in person and sat down to have a talk. I can talk about everything.
Is that because I’m some super smart nerd or whatever? Maybe.
But it’s more to the point that I’m addicted to learning new things and find certain subjects fascinating.
And as someone who pens a lot of words. There is honestly no such thing as a bad day.
Why?
Cause whatever happens. I can turn it into a story, an email or even a lesson.
Did you wake up and smash your foot against the bed post? Well. There’s a lesson and story there.
Find out that the parrot you left at the pet shop for a week has managed to escape through a little flap the owner forgot to lock and the proceeded to nearly destroy the place? Of course I’m gonna have to write an email about it…
(Alf is an absolute pain in the ass the majority of the time and he is also the reason we can’t have nice things…)
I’m sure you get the point though.
With everyone rushing to become content creators or influencers. The common question that always comes up is “How do I know what to write about?”
And the sauce is in this email.
Write about everything. The good. The bad. The ugly. The things that make you laugh and entertain you firstly. If it doesn’t put a smile on your face or set you emotions on fire, then don’t write about it.
Cause the thing about writing about stuff you do find interesting, entertaining and have a passion for…
Is that it’s the type of content that will get people coming into your world cause they know who you are and what you like and lastly the type of thing you stand for.
So if you’re ever stuck. Just think about the last few things you read, saw or even talked about with someone in person and write about it.
There’s many ways to spin it into a sale but hey, that’s a different thing all together.
We’re in the business of being entertaining and this is the first and easiest step to get yourself there…
