When the snowball smacks you in the face, keep rolling

Listen up.

Life ain’t all warm mugs of cocoa and perfectly roasted marshmallows.

Oh no, sometimes life is that wind-whipped frost right off the top of the mountain and it stings like a motherfluffin’ sonofabiscuit.

Sometimes, in this hell scape we’re treading, that giant snowball you’ve been carefully packing just gets whacked by a rogue baseball bat of fate.

Next thing you know? BAM.

It’s headed straight for your face.

And you’re probably thinking something like…

“To hell with this. I’m done.”

But guess what?

That ain’t how snowballs become unstoppable, unstoppable orbs of unstoppable-ness.

An unstoppable snowball is built by rolling it downhill, letting it absorb every flake of white winter fury into its bloated girth.

You keep pushing despite and especially because of every frigid twist life reveals.

Next thing you know, you’re unstoppable. (And quite possibly unstoppable in the manner of a giant avalanche that may or may not flatten the village at the bottom of the mountain. But hey, details matter…)

Point is, perseverance is the fuel. Each setback might feel like a gullible reindeer kicking you in the manberries, but it’s actually just a pinch of that frosty goodness, waiting to pack itself onto your metaphorical snowball.

You keep rolling. You keep piling. You keep going. Because eventually, your momentum turns from “damn, that’s a cold nudge” into “HOLY HECK, THIS THING IS GONNA SWALLOW THE WHOLE AREA CODE.”

Life’s always gonna lob ice boulders at your face. Maybe it’s an unexpected expense, or your best friend’s favourite goat-based casserole sets off your house’s fire alarm. Or your brand-new plan of world domination fizzles because of one tiny punctuation error in your manifesto. Doesn’t matter. You pick that slush up, slap it onto the ball you’ve got, and keep rolling, baby.

So yeah, next time the fan gets spattered with all that noxious whatthehellery, just remember to stay in motion. Maintain your momentum. Be that snowball that starts off small and ends big, and in the end, watch how your rolling unstoppable avalanche of might carries you to exactly where you want to be.

And as much as it gets tiring sometimes. You need to make your snowball. Roll that glorious, unstoppable bastard all the way down the mountain. Never stop and if you find yourself getting a face-full of life’s freezer burn? That’s just more snow for the snowball. Keep. On. Rolling.

P.S. It’s okay to get in the feel when the world is slapping us about. Just don’t sit with it for too long. Create that snowball.

P.P.S. The Squirrels have been awfully quiet…
